ReplyDeleteI read Righteous Intent and it was one of the best books I've read in the past 5 years. The use of a real eye disease, along with future technology was such a great concept. I like the fact that the author gave us a bit of everything, romance, a concept of new wave ideas, mixed with debilitating eye disease, murder, and the political realm. The author used facts to create a great work of fiction. I recommend this book, if you like murder, mystery, and romance. It was a page turner. I look forward to more books from this author.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed Righteous Intent. It has enough twists and turns that one is constantly considering characters as possible perpetrators only to be led a different way.
ReplyDeleteThe main character's visual problem is described well and incorporated into the mystery.
Romance and love of family are signifigant in the storyline. It is a delightful read with a good moral theme.
I Loved it!!
Mr. Bays,
ReplyDeleteRighteous Intent is a well-written, thought-provoking novel. It makes one think that possibly these events could happen in the future.
This novel gives one ideas to think seriously about. Actually, this novel would make a great movie. Congratulations on writing a great book of fiction. I look forward to reading a sequel to Righteous Intent.
Creative! Imaginative! Thought-provoking!
ReplyDeleteIn this his debut novel, Mr. Bays weaves a tale of conspiracy, love and science fiction that will appeal to readers of all genres. The reader will be fascinated as well as a bit uneasy as he or she contemplates the possibility that technology could one day be used on the ordinary citizens in such a negtive manner as is proposed in this novel.

ReplyDeleteI could not quit reading this! I love the characters and how it kept me in suspense and wanting more. I thought it was very easy to read and I could visualize what the author was trying to describe. This really makes you appreciate people whose lives are challenged everyday by some kind of impairment whether it be physically, emotionally, spiritually or mentally. Just because they don't look like it doesn't mean they have struggles. Great book! Brian, you did a terrific job! Hope to see book #2 in the future!! Becky Southworth Hickman
ReplyDeleteI am not one for books based on technology and the like, but I found this book completely remarkable. The storyline was compelling and shared an insight into the mind of the writer that is very rare today. The story compels the reader to think beyond the realm of daily life and reach into the very depths of the soul for the possibilities that the future may hold. I look forward to any future works from this writer. Bravo, two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteI thought the books was very well written. Some parts of the book you could tell what was about to happen. Other than that it was a great book. I can't wait to see what he comes up with now.
ReplyDeleteRighteous Intent is a compelling futuristic story that holds interesting possibilities for our future to hold. It provides the reader to interact with the characters allowing you to feel as if you were part of the story yourself. The book made your heart reach out for Mitchell Hughes...He has to come to terms with his visual disabilities and his children's, his pending fate, lost love, and uncertain love interest with Claire, and fighting a battle with his faith in God. This book provided a multitude of suspense, danger, emotion and excitement throughout. Mr. Bays, Righteous Intent was extremely heartfelt as if it flowed out from your soul. The emotion felt throughout the book was riviting and is a true gift to be able give to your readers.
ReplyDeleteI ENJOYED READING RIGHTEOUS INTENT VERY MUCH.IT WAS WELL WRITTEN.IT ALSO KEPT YOU INTERESTED AND WAS VERY INTRIGUING.
ReplyDeleteI LIKED THE MIXTURE OF SCIENCE FIXTION,COURT ROOM DRAMA,AND ROMANCE.
Wow, this book had a little bit of everything. The mixture of murder, intrigue, conspiracy, romance and technology was perfect and the suspense of what was going to happen next made it hard to put the book down. The author brought the characters to life so that you felt you were right there going through it with them. It also brings a scary reality of what could happen in the future and then you begin to wonder, is it really that far in the future.
ReplyDeleteUpon reading Brian's book I could not help but notice parallels to our current government. For years we have heard rumors that one day we would have some kind of chip or "mark" embedded in our foreheads or hands that would allow the "powers that be" to keep track of us and everything we did. In fact, such a mark is mentioned in the last book in the Bible, The Book of Revelation. To me "Righteous Intent" is a time machine into our possible future. I began to identify with the main character, Mitchell Hughes, who is carrying within his body a flawed DuoDrite chip. Modern technology has invaded all of our lives, and this well written suspenseful thriller takes it to the next level!
